The glaciers of the Jeknaffo massif

The Jeknaffo massif is an outpost of Sulitelma, a compact high mountain massif between Viejevagge-Råvvejaure and Kailavagge-Stalovagge, in western Sulitelma mountains. The highest peak is Jeknaffo (1836 m). The massif contains 3 glaciers, and is interesting even from a botanical point of view.

1. Nuortap Jeknaffojekna

Nuortap Jeknaffojekna (0.08 km2) is a small ice cap on the east side of Jeknaffo. It is not plotted on the mountain map.


2. Kaska Jeknaffojekna

Kaska Jeknaffojekna (0.13 km2) is a small ice cap on the east side of Jeknaffo. Possibly it is just some dead ice, and it is not plotted on the mountain map.


3. Årjep Jeknaffojekna

Årjep Jeknaffojekna (0.92 km2) is a medium-sized ice cap on the south slope of Jeknaffo.
